The terms for using Travaio, a travel planner (not a booking service)

Effective: October 17, 2026 | Last updated:

Company: The Index Labs Pte. Ltd. | Jurisdiction: Singapore

1. Company Information

Legal entity and contact details

Service Provider

Company: The Index Labs Pte. Ltd.

Product: Travaio (travaio.co)

Jurisdiction: Singapore

Registration: Registered in Singapore under the Companies Act

Contact: contact@travaio.co

Travaio is an AI-powered travel planning platform operated by The Index Labs Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated under the laws of Singapore. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and The Index Labs Pte. Ltd. ("Company", "we", "us") regarding your use of the Travaio platform and services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

Agreement and binding nature

By accessing, browsing, or using the Travaio platform in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of our services.

Important Notice

You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use our services. By using Travaio, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Service Description

What Travaio provides

Travaio is a travel PLANNER, not a booking platform. We are not a travel agency or reservation service. We do not sell, book or process any reservation, accommodation or transport. Bookings are made directly with the providers.

Travaio uses an AI model to draft itineraries from the answers you give. After drafting, it looks each activity up in Google Maps Platform and attaches the place details it finds (address, coordinates, opening hours, rating) where a match exists. Where nothing matches, those details are left off rather than guessed.

  • Three ways to start a trip: Plan with AI, Build it yourself, and Import an itinerary.
  • Traveler DNA preferences that shape what is suggested.
  • Multi-day and multi-city planning, with maps and route ordering.
  • Saving, sharing and exporting trips, and version history.
  • A trip journal, trip documents and budget and expense tools.
  • Collaboration, weather and AI-agent (MCP) access on Pro.

Verify before you rely on it

Everything in a plan is a draft from an AI model and Google Maps data. Check it with the source before you act on it:

  • Opening hours and closures, and whether a place still exists. Confirm with the venue.
  • Prices and costs. They are estimates, not quotes.
  • Transport times, routes and schedules. Confirm with the operator.
  • Visa, entry and health requirements. Confirm with the official government source for your passport and route.
  • Safety of an area, an activity or the time of day you plan to be there.
  • Whether a venue suits your dietary needs, allergies or accessibility needs. We cannot confirm allergen handling or step-free access for every venue, so check with the venue.

Travaio is a planner. It does not book, guarantee or vouch for anything in a plan, and you decide what to do with it.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Plans, pricing, the free trial and refunds

  • Guest (no account): up to 3 plans per day. Guests cannot save trips.
  • Free (with an account): up to 10 plans per day and 3 active saved trips. Archived trips do not count towards the limit.
  • Pro (paid): no daily plan cap, subject to fair use (50 plans in any rolling 24 hours), unlimited saved trips and the other Pro features listed on the pricing page.

Pro costs S$12.99 per month or S$99.99 per year in Singapore, and US$12.99 per month or US$99.99 per year elsewhere. Stripe selects the currency from your location at checkout, and the amount is shown before you confirm payment. If you subscribe inside the Travaio mobile app, Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) sets the price and currency for your country and shows it before you confirm.

  • Free trial: new subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial, once per account. Your card is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Whether you are eligible is shown before you pay.
  • Payment: processed by Stripe when you subscribe on the web, and by Apple or Google when you subscribe in the mobile app. Pro renews automatically each billing period until you cancel.
  • Cancellation: cancel any time in Account settings. A subscription bought in the mobile app is canceled in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, not in Travaio. Access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Refunds: available within 7 days of your first subscription payment for subscriptions bought on the web. A full refund also stops renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period it covered. Refunds for subscriptions bought through Apple or Google are handled by them under their policies.
  • Price changes: we will give notice before a price change applies to your next renewal.

5. AI Services & Important Disclaimers

Artificial intelligence limitations and responsibilities

Critical AI Disclaimers

AI Limitations: AI-generated itineraries may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or errors.

User Responsibility: You must independently verify all recommendations and assess safety, legality, and suitability of suggested activities.

No Liability: We are not responsible for any losses, injuries, or damages resulting from AI-generated recommendations.

Our AI model (Google Gemini) drafts recommendations from your inputs, and place details come from Google Maps Platform where a match exists. All suggestions are informational only and should be independently verified before use.

6. User Accounts & Plans

Registration and plan management

Travaio has three plans: Guest (no account), Free (an account) and Pro (paid). Limits for each are shown on the pricing page.

  • Provide a valid email address and truthful, current information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials, two-factor codes and API keys secure.
  • Minimum age: 18, or with a parent or guardian's consent.
  • One account per person. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
  • You can change plan in Account settings. If you move from Pro to Free, nothing you already created is deleted or frozen: existing saved trips, share links and collaborators keep working. What stops is creating new items beyond the Free limits.

7. Data Collection & Privacy

How your data is handled

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, which processors we use, how our cookie-free analytics and error logs work, and your rights. It forms part of these Terms.

  • We process personal data in line with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act and, where they apply, the GDPR and CCPA.
  • We do not sell personal data and we do not train AI models on your data.
  • You can access, export, correct or delete your data from Account settings.

8. User Conduct & Responsibilities

Acceptable use and prohibited activities

Prohibited Activities

System Abuse: Attempting to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt our services

Excessive Usage: Using automated tools or making excessive API requests

False Information: Providing deliberately false or misleading information

Commercial Misuse: Reselling or redistributing our services without permission

Harmful Content: Using the platform to plan illegal or harmful activities

User responsibilities

By using Travaio, you explicitly accept full responsibility for all consequences of your travel decisions and activities.

  • Complete verification required: You must independently verify all AI-generated recommendations including accuracy, safety, legality, and current availability before taking any action
  • Personal safety assessment: You are solely responsible for evaluating and ensuring the safety of all suggested activities, locations, and travel arrangements
  • Legal compliance: You must research and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, customs requirements, and travel restrictions for all destinations
  • Documentation and health: You are responsible for obtaining proper visas, passports, vaccinations, travel insurance, and medical clearances as required
  • Financial responsibility: All booking costs, cancellation fees, change fees, and travel expenses are your sole responsibility
  • Risk acknowledgment: You acknowledge that travel involves inherent risks and you assume all such risks voluntarily

9. Your Content, Photos & Documents

What you upload, and what we may do with it

You keep ownership of everything you create or upload: trips, journal entries and photos, trip documents (such as tickets, booking PDFs, and passport, visa or insurance copies), notes, comments and feedback.

  • You give us a limited license to store, process, back up and display your content, only as needed to run Travaio for you and the people you choose to share it with.
  • We do not use your content to train AI models or for advertising.
  • Only upload what you have the right to upload. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing or harmful, or other people's documents without their permission.
  • Documents are for your own reference. Travaio stores them and does not read, verify or check them, and a stored document is not a booking or proof of one.
  • When you delete a journal entry, photo, document or trip, it is removed. Deleting your account removes your content and deletes your photos and documents from storage.
  • We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

10. Collaboration & Share Links

Inviting people and sharing trips

  • Collaboration is a Pro feature. A trip owner can invite people by email and choose what each collaborator may do. Collaborators with edit permission can change the trip.
  • You are responsible for who you invite. Content a collaborator adds is subject to these Terms, and the owner can remove a collaborator at any time.
  • If two people save the same trip at the same time, the later save is refused and the newer version is reloaded, so nothing is silently overwritten.
  • If an owner moves from Pro to Free, existing collaborators and share links keep working, but new invitations and links beyond the Free limits are blocked. An invitation sent while the owner was on Pro can no longer be accepted once the owner is not on Pro.
  • A share link lets anyone who has the link view the trip, so share it only with people you trust. You can revoke a link at any time. Do not post a link anywhere you would not post the trip itself.

11. MCP API Keys

AI agent access for Pro accounts

  • MCP access is a Pro feature. A key lets an AI agent or tool you connect list, read, create, edit and export your trips as you.
  • Custody: a key is shown to you once and we keep only a one-way hash, so we cannot show it again. Keep it secret, store it securely and revoke it in Account settings if it may have leaked. You are responsible for everything done with your keys.
  • Acceptable use: use keys only for your own account and within our rate limits. Do not share, sell or publish keys, use them to scrape or resell Travaio, or to build a competing service. We may revoke a key that is abused.
  • Anything you send to a third-party AI agent is governed by that agent's own terms and privacy policy, not ours.

12. Shared Expenses & Budget Tools

Tracking only

The budget tracker and expense tools record the costs you enter, who paid and how each is split, and suggest payments between travelers. They are for tracking only. Travaio does not collect, hold or move money, and cannot make anyone pay or settle a debt. Cost figures in itineraries are estimates, not prices or quotes.

13. Limitation of Liability

Legal protections and liability limits

Rights that cannot be limited: Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Liability disclaimer

Limit on our liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Index Labs Pte. Ltd. and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates are not liable for any claims, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or liabilities of any kind arising from or relating to your use of Travaio.

You use Travaio at your own risk: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you acknowledge and agree that you use Travaio services entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for all travel decisions, bookings, activities, and consequences resulting from AI-generated recommendations.

Service "as is": Travaio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation Scope

Exclusion of liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to the paragraph at the top of this section, The Index Labs Pte. Ltd. has no liability of any kind. We disclaim and exclude all liability, whether contractual, tortious, or statutory, regardless of the legal theory asserted.

Excluded damages: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, business interruption, or property damage.

Independent user decisions: All travel decisions, bookings, activities, and itinerary choices are made independently by users. We provide informational suggestions only and bear no responsibility for user choices or their consequences.

Third-party services: We disclaim all liability for third-party services, including but not limited to mapping data errors, payment processor issues, airline cancellations, hotel problems, or any external service failures.

Events beyond our control: We are not liable for any issues caused by circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, government actions, network failures, third-party service changes, or any other events whether foreseeable or not.

14. User Indemnification

User agreement to protect company from claims

Indemnification Agreement

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Index Labs Pte. Ltd., its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

Settlement Rights: The Company reserves the right to participate in or take control of defense and settlement of any indemnified claims at its discretion.

15. Intellectual Property

Ownership and permitted use

The Travaio platform, including its software, prompts, databases, text, graphics, logos and design, belongs to or is licensed to The Index Labs Pte. Ltd.. "Travaio" and "Traveler DNA" and related marks are our trademarks. Your content stays yours (see Your Content, Photos & Documents).

  • Do not reverse engineer, copy or redistribute the platform or its code.
  • Do not use our trademarks without permission.
  • Do not use Travaio or its output to build a competing service.

Copyright: report alleged infringement to contact@travaio.co with enough detail for us to find and assess it. We respond to valid notices.

16. Third-Party Services & Disclaimers

Services Travaio relies on

Travaio depends on third-party services, which carry limits outside our control: Google (the Gemini model and Maps Platform data), Mapbox (map display), Stripe, Apple and Google (payments), Supabase (database and storage), and others named in the Privacy Policy.

  • Place data can be outdated or wrong, and a provider outage can stop planning or payments.
  • AI output can contain errors or bias. Check anything that matters.
  • Stripe, Apple and Google set their own policies for payments, disputes, refunds and currency conversion.
  • Travaio takes no bookings. Any provider you book with sets its own prices, availability and policies, and handles its own customer service.
  • Mentioning a third-party service or venue is not an endorsement. Providers are independent and are not our agents.
  • Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Changes to the platform and these Terms

We improve Travaio continuously and may add, change or remove features. We will tell you about material changes to these Terms by email or in the app, normally at least 30 days before they take effect. Using Travaio after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you disagree, you can close your account before then, and refunds follow the refund terms above. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the Terms last changed.

20. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Legal framework and dispute resolution

Singapore Law Governs

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Travaio shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

The Index Labs Pte. Ltd. operates under Singapore company law and all business operations are conducted in accordance with Singapore regulations, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

21. Security & Incidents

What we do and what we do not claim

We run Travaio on Google Cloud Run and Supabase, whose own security reports are available from those providers. We do not currently hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certifications, and we make no certification claims.

If a security incident affects your personal data in a way that is likely to harm you, we will notify you and the regulators the law requires, within the timelines the law sets. To report a vulnerability or suspected incident, email contact@travaio.co.

22. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Small Claims Exception: Either party may bring individual claims in small claims court if the claim qualifies and remains in small claims court.

Injunctive Relief: Nothing prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief in court to prevent irreparable harm while arbitration proceeds.

23. Geographic Restrictions & Availability

Where Travaio can be used

Travaio is available online worldwide, except where the law or sanctions prohibit it. We may limit or suspend service in a country where continuing would break local law, sanctions or export controls, and we will give notice where the law allows. Some features depend on providers that are not available everywhere. For example, Stripe payments are not available in every country, which can limit Pro subscriptions.

24. Export Control & Sanctions Compliance

International trade law

The Index Labs Pte. Ltd. complies with the economic sanctions and export control laws that apply to it, including those of Singapore, the United States and the European Union.

  • You confirm that you are not located in an embargoed country or on a prohibited-parties list, and will not use Travaio for military, weapons or surveillance purposes.

By using Travaio, you agree that all disputes must be resolved through individual binding arbitration. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitrations.

Arbitration Agreement

Binding Arbitration: Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity thereof, or your use of Travaio services shall be settled by binding arbitration.

Arbitration Rules: Arbitration shall be conducted under the rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) then in effect. The arbitration shall be conducted in Singapore in the English language before a single arbitrator appointed in accordance with SIAC rules.

Individual Proceedings Only: You may only resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and may not bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Class Action Waiver

No Class Actions: You waive any right to assert or participate in any class action, class arbitration, collective action, or representative proceeding against The Index Labs Pte. Ltd.

No Consolidation: Claims may not be joined or consolidated unless we agree in writing. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.

Severability: If any part of this class action waiver is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect. If the class action waiver is deemed invalid, the underlying dispute must still be resolved through individual arbitration.

No Breach of Contract: A Force Majeure event shall not constitute a breach of these Terms or give rise to any liability on our part for delays, non-performance, or failure to meet service levels.

Service Modifications: During health emergencies, we may modify or suspend certain features to comply with health authorities' requirements or protect user safety.

Termination Rights & User Remedies

Extended Force Majeure: If a Force Majeure event continues for more than 90 consecutive days, either party may terminate these Terms with written notice.

No Refund Obligation: Force Majeure events do not create refund obligations for services already rendered or subscription fees already paid.

User Alternatives: Users are responsible for seeking alternative travel planning methods during Force Majeure events and may not hold us liable for unavailability.

27. Age Requirement

Who may use Travaio

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use Travaio. We do not open accounts for anyone under 13, even with a parent's or guardian's consent. We rely on your declaration of age and do not run active age verification. A parent or guardian who allows a minor to use Travaio is responsible for the minor's use, for any charges, and for supervising their travel plans.

If we learn that someone is under 18 without consent, or under 13 at all, we may close the account and delete its data. Our approach to personal data is the same for all users and is set out in the Privacy Policy.

28. Data Subject Rights

Access, correction, export and deletion

You can access, export, correct and delete your data from Account settings. For anything the settings do not cover, or to exercise rights under the GDPR, CCPA or the Singapore PDPA, email privacy@travaio.co or the Data Protection Officer at dpo@travaio.co. We answer within 30 days, may ask you to confirm your identity, and may keep data the law requires us to keep. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Legal Protection

This severability clause ensures that if any specific provision of these Terms of Service is found to be legally invalid or unenforceable, it does not invalidate the entire agreement.

Invalid Provision Replacement: If any provision is deemed invalid, the parties agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Narrow Interpretation: Any invalidity shall be narrowly construed to affect only the specific provision in question, not the broader Terms of Service.

30. Entire Agreement

Complete and final agreement terms

Complete agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Travaio and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Agreement Scope

This Terms of Service document, along with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms for specific features, represents the complete and final agreement between you and The Index Labs Pte. Ltd.

Supersedes Prior Agreements: These Terms supersede all prior negotiations, discussions, correspondence, agreements, and understandings between you and us relating to the subject matter hereof.

No Oral Modifications: No representation, promise, or condition not incorporated in these Terms shall be binding upon either party. Any modifications must be made in writing and accepted by both parties.

31. Assignment Rights

Non-waiver of rights

The failure of Travaio to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Waiver Policy

Our failure to act with respect to a breach by you or others does not waive our right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches.

Express Waiver Required: No waiver by us of any provision of these Terms shall be effective unless it is in writing and signed by our authorized representative.

Single Instance: Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only in the specific instance and for the specific purpose for which given.

Reserved Rights: We reserve the right to enforce these Terms to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law at any time and against any user.
